Think Before Requesting Online Quotes (your data may be permanent)

Recently I filled out a quote form for Progressive Insurance as well as for Geico, based on mailings I’d gotten.

I decided to stick with my current insurance.

I called Progressive to ask if the personal information I’d entered to get the quote could be deleted.

“We don’t have a process for doing that,” I was told.

So there you have it. Some more websites that have my SSN and other info. Let’s just hope they’re not another data breach casualty!
